ThUrSdAy - the last day of freshers' week!

CHEERS PEEPS! YamMmMMMmmMMmm SENG!
I'm kinda stuCk in drinking whiSky cOke! Totally rocks drinking dat at my hostel area with the damn chilly wind blowing.. while the rest of the peeps jus drink beer lyk carling. haha. beer = ang moh liang teh? lol!

The entire week had been a crazee freshers' week which basically just involved 'pub crawl' which meant drinking & drinking & drinking & partying & partying & partying. All the students went missing from my hostel and all dressed up in whatever 'Theme' of the day was. Their partying style is really mad, they really dress up and even put camou on & shouting all around lyk nobody business. I guess socializing & drinking beer is their culture aye? Hah anyway jim came over to my place for dinner and then we went to the bar just upstairs in my hall for some drinks. While we were walking around, there were lyk lotsa chicks all dress up & ready to rock on. its freaking tempting and guess wad, they actually approached us & asked us to join em to the clubs! LOL i was like wearing my usual 3/4 shorts with slippers cuz i'm in my hall and den i just bluffed that its very cold out there i gotto go change. lol the gals replied u dun need to change, we r colder den you are! This is something i couldn't agree more cuz they r really wearing very little despite the extreme low temperature in the night. I'm at a loss of words & they were pulling me lyk wth. Nevertheless the very discipline me, told em that i'll join them in a little while after i change. lol the gal asked for my name & den said i wanna see u at the dance floor later, justin. And the guy said.. u probably won't come back yea! den i diam diam... den he shouted to his friends.. hey guys justin will be joining us CHEERS! I was like wtf rofl! Well the story ended. LOL! Tmr got house party so tonight mus rest yeah.

Alright enough enough, lets talk bout sch stuffs. Went to sch today for my stage 2 bmgt induction & guess wad, its really crappy. They were telling us all those usual bs & it wasn't helpful at all. However i met 2 peeps from china who r rather friendly so i guess we're gonna be classmates huh. I realized that in uni, nobody spoonfeed u anymore, u got to be independent & find out information all by yourself. its excatly lyk wad bro jt quoted "throwing u in the jungle & let u survive on ur own". Its kinda true to a certain extend ba.. i mean they do provide support with all those beautifully printed brochures and unlimited number of websites. Well anyway, i looked at the super complicated timetable & realises i actaully have very little classes. Like just 4-5 lectures for a module in 1 semester? But i do have a total of 8 modules... 5 core and 3 optional. Heh 1 of the optional i opted for English Contract Law which i'm really intersted in cuz back in poly days i did biz law which i really like. ^^ They probably gave us so much free time for a reason.. lyk do your own research, self-reading, assignments & suffs. Darn, i really hope the modules ain't too difficult man! I was wondering my neighbours are all studying law, dentistry, medicine & they r partying lyk madd... will they be the same when sch starts? lol who knows huh.

I dunno why but i can't wait for sch to start. I'm just simply looking forward to attending the lectures just lyk the good old days except this time got to really put in effort and be really disciplined. Hopefully the cold weather wouldn't affect me too much & cause me to hibernate more & PLZ can the jet lag disease PSE go away! SHOO! Heh, got to spend less, got to save $$$! Things here ain't cheap except for the winter wear & soccer jerseys! Anyone wans liverpool, man-u or newcastle jerseys? Let me know what gifts u wan & i'll try and save up & buy em for u peeps kay! Just pop in ur request on the SHOUTOUT! I'll try & take note ^^ (NO PROMISES) hahaha!

Alrite time to chill & haf a good slp. tmr got no classes at all just gonna meet shirley from sg for some daily fish & chips @ 2.95pounds and den dinner with our sg gang at chinatown DIMSUM(like finally) before proceeding to erica's place for housewarming party! booze&musiclikealways. (:

tueeeSday - hibernation

Good evening ladies & gentlemen. ^^
Just a glance at the title of this post and i guess u guys will know what i've been up to the entire day. haha.

Woke up in the morning and as usual, made my own breakfast which included toasted bread, chicken ham, egg mayo & either tea or orange juice ^^ Now that's gonna be my standard Englishman breakfast. haha. After that i did something meaningful; i finally did my first laundry all by myself! LOL. It wasn't that difficult actually, just put tokens into the washing machine + washing powder + fabric conditioner and let em mix. Following that, i just threw everything into the dryer and let e machine do the job. Well, its all done and my clothes were all dry & nice in 30 minutes. Cool yea? Well, in between while waiting, i came back to my room and skyped with my family. lol its fun video conferencing & chatting online but i jus seen my bed destroyed. haha. After that, i went to collect my laundry and went back to catch a movie before taking a nap (=

There are so many peeps around the hall man... everywhere especially the bar where ppl chill & chit-chat. The entire place is just so lively & ppl r very friendly! Occasionally u get to see couples doing wadever around the stairs, park, some dark corner.. ahha shan't elaborate more. ^^ But i mus say its pretty interesting to meet & talk to ppl of different nationalities. I'm actually meeting future doctors, dentist and lawyers! These are the smart & bright peeps who can speak really well, i'm really impressed.

Heh, this is gonna be a short post cuz i've been sleepy the entire day and i'm gonna go hibernate on my warm bed soon. (= Looking forward to meeting more sg peeps this week & the housewarming party this fri! gimme gimme more, gimme more, gimme gimme more! Alright i'm gonna turn studious starting next week okie. (@.@) ^^

Got to wake up at 8am tmr morning for the induction program in sch. Hopefully the weather will not be so cold if not i'm gonna freeze again. lols. Shall continue bloggin tmr, till then, take care peeps!!! *waves*

mOnDaY! the short day!

7.12pm - Whhhhhhhhhhhhhat a short day i had today. ^^

Woke up at about 10.45am and all my friends are already in sch having their induction program wheras mine only starts on this wed & thurs. So i'm still pretty free for the time being but lazy to do my laundry. lol! Its gonna cost 1.60pounds to use the washing machine each time and 20 pence for the dryer. So.. i'm gonna be smart & accumulate lots lots lots of clothes before washing em at 1 go. Since i've got lots of stocks on-hand, shldn't be a problem for me heh. Well, i was online for awhile and den took a shower before heading down to Armstrong building to meet up with the rest of the guys for a 'free' lunch at the marine's office. Heh, my School of Business administrative office is on the 3rd floor anyway.

After that, Jim & I headed over to town & we went to Llyods-Tsb and i started a bank account with them. The queue was pretty long cuz there were lots of international students around but i was lucky cuz 1 of the staff actually brought me & a couple of other guys over to another branch in Gateshead. We got there by Metro(something lyk mrt) for free and there were absoutely no queue there cuz its a dead town. LOL. The process was really fast.. the personnel jus asked me a few questions and its done. I've deposited my bank draft and the atm/debit card shld arrive by wed/thurs and money will be in on fri. WEEPIEE! Finally bank thingy is settled.

Following that, we went to TESCO.. which is another Hypermarket similar to Morrisons which i've mentioned earlier on. Bought some stuffs lyk chicken ham(my all time favs!), cup noodles, egg mayo, toothpaste, styling gel.. & i can't rmb. haha its all cheap there man, gotto love it. So, we took the free metro ride back and headed over back to Haymarket & lookout for phones. I was thinking of subscribing a line from o2 at the cost of 20pounds/month i can get unlimited text and 600mins local time free. Not bad a deal yea? I'll probably get it i guess. After that its home sweet home.. the first time i'm heading back to my hall so early. Heh, lots of cows as usual.

Well even when im back in my room, its still very cold! especially today, when the cold wind blows u'll really stand still & freeze for awhile. LOL! so, i on the heater to the max to gain some warmth lol. Gonna have an early night for once man! Alright i'm really looking forwad to the induction this wed & thurs cuz i've got tons of questions to ask the tutors. Got to study hard & strive for the best. ^^

I miss everyone as usual.. as much as how i miss the mee pok, laksa and roti prata + milo peng/teh peng combo in our beloved Singapore! Haha! Enjoy ya night peeps.. take care and drink lots of water!

Saturday & Sunday - new ppl moving in!

Good morning my dear readers! Hope the weekend has been great for all of you!
It has been a pretty crazy ride for me cuz me & my pals have been doing alot of travelling & exploring so we r lyk so darn tired every night. Nevertheless, it has been alot of fun seeing new & interesting stuffs every now and then. (:
Alright let me talk about what i've done on the pretty saturday..

Sat - Woke up pretty late at bout 11am+ due to late nite activities the previous day and went out to meet my pals at bout 1pm+. As usual.. i'm always the late king. Sry bout tat but tats part of my style. )= LOL! I'm jus kidding but i'm serious bout the sorry. Oh well anyway, we wanted to buy some groceries so we headed over to a so call "SG NTUC" somewhere faraway. We were lyk walking & walking n navigating but couldn't find it so we ended up taking a cab over. The journey was short.. but the cab fee was great! lyk 5+ pounds when we reached our destination? its lyk crazeee exp... covert it to dollars n its about 12.80sgd? insane. not gonna take cab again man! Well, we went to Morissons Hypermarket in the end and its lyk really huge. They've got all the promotions and we sourced for the cheapest best food around ^^
I've bought bread, cheese pies, chicken ham, tropical orange juice, tea bags, apples & bananas. Heh, got to keep healthy by eating more fruits yea! Come to think about it, we were always hungry. It mus haf been due to the cold climate and the amount of 'walking' we've been doing. Well after the shopping, we headed back to town and had our dinner at the "Legandary Chicken Cottage" which is rumoured to be better den KFC. Heh, i ordered a 2 piece chicken meal & it cost me 3.39 pounds. WOah lyk slightly more exp den KFC but i muz admit tat it tasted really awesome. ^^

So after putting our stuffs in big ruben's place(which has became our headquarters), we equipped ourselves with torchlights, cameras & grabbed our jackets b4 heading over to the Haunted Castle of England. There are lyk so many castles around here and on a particular castle known as "Castle Keep", there's a poster which reflects "Join our Ghost Walk..." Basically u've got to pay like 8pounds and u get to join the ghost tour. Haha however, the brave "Surtees"(we call ourselves tat, gif me a ring & i'll explain the story behind) marched on the frontline despite our fears. HAHA! Well, we were only at the entrance & was about to enter when we got the shock of our life. Cuz the entry to the castle is linked by a bridge and u can't see wads on the other side cuz its too dark and so, when we were walking in, all of a sudden there's a shadow walking directly towards us. Its lyk jus right in front and its too late to run or dodge cuz by the time we spotted it, its already like only few metres ahead of us. LOL we were lyk "OMG" and den upon a closer view & wif our torches we realized its a perfect human. LOL the guy even said that we shld be scared cuz its lyk the most haunted place in england. And with that, he turned around n showed us the back of his t-shirt which reads "Ghost Walk Security". haha lyk awesome. So the brave surtees moved on and started taking pictures along the way. Haha i will post the pictures so u guys could see the mighty castles. For the time being jus imagine.. walking in a haunted dark castle tat used to have horses and ppl staying in lols. Well, after that we headed over to the 'Tyne Bridge' which provided us with a spectecular & magnificent view of Newcastle! The feeling was.. simply wonderful. Just standing tall looking at the nice scenery with the extremly cold wind blowing u away! Heh, we folded a paper aeroplane & threw it down! 1st time i've seen a paper plane doing a spiral decend yea! haha.

After that we decided to go back cuz the night was really too chilly. On our way back, we passed by the other part of the city and omg... tats when i really saw the Saturday night party fever LIFE. Newcastle is lyk one of the best place for partying & socializing.. as quoted by the Vice Chancellor of my school. "If you are not here for socializing, den why are u here?" Haha! However, their Saturday night is really too scary for us.. the ppl are like walking in big groups and seems to be crazee n drunk all the way. Ppl were screaming around and guess wad, we witnessed a fight tat broke out all of a sudden. its like 1092731726376 ppl vs 1. The guy ran away & police arrived shortly. Nevertheless, it was indeed an eye-opener for us and i really can't deny there they have so many nice clubs & pubs around. "Bar 24", "Sinners", "the long bar", "the hot steam head" were juz some of the names there. Seems lyk its impossible to patronize each & every bar hur. lols. Oh ya did i mention we passed by a train station which i guess was featured in Harry Potter where they took the magical train that brings em to Hogwarts! its lyk omg so cool!

So, that was my Saturday & i headed bacck to my deserted home once again but this time, i wasn't alone. lol i've finally met my flatmates. There were like about 6 of them, all whites and they were blasting music & drinking beer. So i chatted with them and they invited me in for a drink. Haha although there were chicks in there but i was really tired so i kindly rejected em and went into my room to rest. See, i'm so discipline. lols. Well, they were pretty noisy but i still managed to sleep soundly. Home sweet home & i love my bed with the big big quilt & soft pillow.

Sunday - hmm, i woke up at about 10am & now its like 12.50pm. Feeling pretty lazy on a sunday morning.. so i juz made myself a healthy breakfast which includes 2 french toaste, 2 cheese pie, 2 chicken ham, 1 cup of orange juice & an apple. heh pretty decent & healthy i guess. ^^ There's gonna be a Hall Warden introduction at about 4.00m follow by a free dinner. So,i'm gonna jus stay in my room to catch some movies follow by doing my laundry and then take a nice shower before heading for the upcoming events. That's my spendid plan (= Kinda hate doing laundry but can't complain huh, jus dump everything into the washing machine & den the dryer & den iron em. Looks lyk i really got to find a maid to cook & do everything for me lols. MARIAAAAaaaa where are you? Come out, come out wherever u are... haha. Alright as for what's gonna happen later i wouldn't know so stay tune for my updated blog later in the night yeah? For the time being, take a chill pill & stay cool ppl! my first weekend.

Hello everybody! Are there anybody missing me? haha!
As usual, i'm missing all of you! Its about 12.12pm now in the noony and today is the big day whereby there'll finally be more & more international students moving in. Heh, can't wait to see who r my roomates & wanna make this hall more lively man!
jus realized my hall is pretty cool cuz there are shops, vending machines, bar, snooker room, tv lounge, cinema, table-tennis room, dining hall, laundry room and a 24hrs reception. haha goodie facilities ^^

So where did i go on a fri night which was yesterday? It was my 1st clubbing session in the UK! Basically we went down to 2 clubs and there's actually no cover charge at all. We headed to "The Charles Grey" first and it was really crowded. Guess what? the drinks are really cheap! We've got some drinks at jus 3 pounds/drink and there r certainly hot chiCks around ^^. The locals there are really friendly and its so easy to start a conversation with em. just show a big SMILE (: and say "hi"! haha. Well, the music was kinda boring.. trance trance trance.. so we headed over to "Venue" which was a more happening club. There were poledance and ppl were dancing everywhere! Music was kinda boring initially.. but after we had a couple of booze and the music switched to r&b, that was when the party STARTED! She had em apple bottom jeans, boots wif the fur & the whole club's lookin at her! haha. Oh ya, about the drinks, their tequilla shots r really different from wad sg has. Its lyk kind of copperish + maroon in colour and the taste was definitely way better! Take da shot & feel the heat! Yea so we dance & left the party at bout 2am. ^^

The air on the outside is always so fresh & cooling, in fact freezing! but i'm beginning to get use to it, no sweat! Alright besides juz partying my life away, i oso went to school to get some information. ALrigt my induction programme is gonna start next wed-fri. There are gonna be lectures hosted by the program director to kick-start our engine. Basically they r gonna give us the student handbook and teach us how to choose our modules & stuffs like that. Looks lyk my modules r full of Human Resource Management stuffs. Omg got to mug lyk crazeee soon. )=
Well lessons offically gonna kick off on monday 29th sept. so meanwhile, imma jus gonna continue exploring and be familiar with the places here asap. ALright i got to go bathe & head out to the NTUC here lols. Tonight gonna be an exploring castle trip. wee~! way to go!

Welcome to the United Kingdom!!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING all my love ones. Today is Thursday and the time in UK now is 7.50am which is about 3.50pm in SG. I'm lagging you all by 7hrs at the moment!
Srry guys i didn't manage to blog yesterday, was really tired & busy settling down. Now i'm in my room and on my right side is the window with the very cold breeze constantly drifting in. Let me begin my new life, my new story (= As i'm typing im eating my Warburtons soft white sliced bread together with the co-operative apple & raspberry juice drink. so freaking healthy & taste so great. LOL!

How should i start, hmm, lets me start from the day i left the airpot yea. First of all, a really very big thanx once again to all for sending me off. I really appreciate it and its really v sad to part with u guys man. You all are the best of the best friends that i had! ^^ Really thanks for coming. Let me list em down huh so i noe who i can buy souvenirs for. HAHA! Gh, yb, 1u, jh, szeling, jt, ky, cloud, jiayi, andy, tingren. Big HUGS for all of u!!! xie xie ni men!

Alright, so i checked in and board the boeing 747 with my 2 great sg friends, Ruben & Charles. We choose the seats at the side such that the 3 of us were side by side & can chit-chat during the crazee journey of 14hrs to London Heathrow. Well, the entertainment was pretty good cuz they've got pretty good movies like "u dun mess wif the zohan' & "ironman'. So throughout the flight, i was busy watching movies, talking to my friends & eating the pretty good british food! though its 14hrs.. but its not unbearable, i mean with the entertainment and the excitement i really didn't sleep much & was just constantly anticipating.. & finally, when we were about to reach soon, i put on the headset & blast the r&b music. "love in tis club' by usher was what was available. SO i listened to it and here i am in the United Kingdom at London Heathrow airport. ^^
The very first stuffs we bought with the pounds was at starbucks cuz we tot we needed some coffee before the next flight. Well, i ordered a drink and some french toast and the total cost was 6+ pounds. my jaws dropped. omg like bout 15sgd? since when did i spend so much in starbucks. LOL! Okie well, so we took another flight and off we go to Newcastle!

Upon reaching Newcastle, we collected our buggage and the seniors from newcastle university catered a shuttle bus to bring us all the way to our accomodation. it was great cuz we were really tired after the long journey and really had not much strength left for the luggages. So, we arrived at Castle Leazes Hall and that's where i'm gonna stay for the next 9 months. ^^ Well, all i can say is besides myself, there's only another japanese gal alighting yesterday. so cool! lol. Her name was yuki and yea, stays next block to me. Okie Castle Leazes Hall is pretty cool, with 24hrs reception desk, convenience store to buy food n drinks, Tv Lounge and the laundry area. Everything is convenient and my room is okie lohs. Got wash basin and stuffs. Sm i'm actually fine with it and awaiting the arrival of the other new tenants. I'm like living alone now here! pretty bored! But i've got the entire kitchen and bathroom. The BATHTUB is my all-time favourite. Lyk so shiok! haha.

Next, after settling down & unpacking my stuffs in hostel, i went to school wif my friends to complete our student registration. We completed it and finally i got my Newcastle University Student Smart Card! I'm officially a student there now and im able to enjoy the student discounts in campus and oso able to access the wireless internet.. HOORAY!

Haha so it was a trip down town yea! Since its my 1st day here, im gonna show the rest of the ppl in town of the SINGAPORE EXISTANCE! So despite the fact tat its so cold out there, i wore a t-shirt wif a jacket and my favourite berms wif a pair of shoe n ankle socks. POWER SEH? LOL. My sg friends were lyk saying im even more LOCAL den the LOCALS here cuz noone else wears lydat. LOL. Well, it was a great trip in town, we went to get ourselves a mobile sim card and patronized the hypermarket there. THe prices of food is definitely more exp den sg.. but the workers there are oso more helpful and friendlier. haha we bought a couple of stuffs and went to big ruben's place for some micro-waving and mini-party dinner! His place is at Magnet Court which smacks right in the middle of town. omg lyk so awesome! And opposite his place is the fluid bar... u noe nightlife n stufs. I'm so looking forward to all the endless partying hahaha! Oh ya did i mention near my hall, when im either walking to sch or coming home i got to passby this very very GREEN FIELD with lotsa green grasses and there are so many cows & buffalos around! Haha i was so happy to see the nature beauty & breathe in the fresh air! im gonna go milk the cow someday ^^

Basically that's so much for yesterday. Was really tired so i came back, set up my internet n mobile n off i went to lala land. Set an alarm at 0900 and i automatically woke up at 0700h. lol. Its lyk so cold i got to wear a track pants and socks when im sleeping. Nevertheless, afterall, it was a very good experience for me. I'm gonna upload the pics after ruben send em to me. Heh got to go take a shower and den head to school to do some english test (hope my eng is still fine) and den open a bank account. Shall update more tonight kays!
