The Gemini Strikes Again.

Ladies & Gentlemen.. may i present to you.. I'M BACK!!!

Its funny how my mood changes in one night, not even 24hrs yet.

After talking to some ppl, i realized that hardwork n effort is really required. its not just something u put on ur mouth. Action is required.

Tonight shall be my last night out and from next week onwards, its mugging time again!

I'm well-motivated and its time to march on. Its do or die, fight or die, win or die.

Might sound abit serious but i'm really serious.

Take care peeps, tonight's theme is 'Casually Formal' cuz we'll be having dinner at Las Tesca which is a spanish restaurant and after that heading down to some pubs for drinks. Shall post some pics up in the next post.

Untill then, take care peeps, love u all.

Casper

Assignment Result.

Okie so i've just gotten back my 2nd piece of assignment which is a core module called Understanding work & Organization. Its an essay-based module but is relatively interesting. Just got back the result and feedback form today.

And i've got......... as usual, a second upper grade, 65%.

I'm feeling pretty down, probably i've put too much high hopes.

Teacher feedback that i've got a good set of arguments and showed a good ability to compare two or more differing perspectives with relevant evidences and displayed clear signs of reading well beyond the minimum set texts with good understanding. The quality of writing and the structure are clear, logical and understandable.

However, I concentrated too much on the limitations of the mechanistic appoach rather than why is it still so prevalent and a bit limited on the issue of the extent to which post-fordism is an actuality and also rely too much on lecture material.

I accept the feedbacks and i admit i never put in total 100% effort because im too lazy to read the many books, e-journals, articles, newspapers, etc. But i really did tried my best to write as well as i could. Disappointed but still.. i need to really work harder and put in more effort.

Nonetheless, most of my china and hk classmates scored between 48-56 while 1 of my european girl classmate got 76. Totally insane... the question required us to use examples from life experiences or stiff bloggs diaries and she didn't use any of them. I guess my assumption was right. Its easy to pass, 2nd upper honours is achievable but the Real Difference lies between a 2nd upper and a 1st class. When you read a 1st class work, the English is so effing chim and you will have real difficulty understanding it. Looks like i need to bookmark dictionary.com and thesaurus.com and wikipedia.com to further improve my essays.

So currently, got back 2 assignments and both 65%. Time to buck up and put in more effort. Really hope my remaining 1 assignment and 3 exams will do well but the odds ain't high. Thanks for hearing me whine. I will keep working hard.

With Love,
Casper

Hellllllllllllllllo lovely people!!! What's up? Valentine's Day was just over and I hope everyone had a great day there and then! Well for me, my valentine's eve was filled with booze i really got all-shitty drunk. Totally pissed! Haha. Though there were various grps doing different things during vday itself but well, i spent the day on house-viewing and chilling out at home. haha plain boring huh. xD.

Nonetheless, let me update abit about my recent activities. Recently, a couple of us went over to robert's place for dinner. He's cooking us the traditional 'Jia Chang Bian Fan' which include my favourite 'Ma Po Tofu'. He did it yet again and we totally finish up everything! lol. Thanks for the food my friend, having a dinner of rice and some simple dishes with you guys makes me feel at home. (= Oh, not to mention we, without fail, brought the sexy drinks along as a sign of gratitude to the host! Hmm, did we drink alot.. i've forgotten.

Other than that, haven been doing much lately, just the usual going to school and doing my homework. However, i've come to realized that in order to do well for ur exams and assignments, you might need to build a certain relationship with your lecturer. Seems like this is pretty true due to the many evidences i've seen over here. Well, my results still ain't released yet.. stupid lecturers taking ages to mark them. I'm feeling kinda nervous becuz some my other business mates already got back their results and they didn't really do well so... it kinda demoralise me.

Oh Yea, i will be going on a Europe Trip on this coming 1 month Easter's Vacation! We've already booked the tickets and the destinations are as follow.

Newcastle -> Paris -> Rome -> Newcastle

We will be touring in both Paris and Rome for 3 days each before heading back to NCL. Kinda exciting and looking forward to it because of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and The Colosseum in Rome which is one of the new seven wonders of the world! After I leave my footprints there, i'm left with 6 more wonders of the world to explore! Haha. Its really kinda cheap to travel to Europe since i'm in the UK at the moment and so i'm really gonna make full use of it! The weather is also getting warmer already as summer approaches. HoOray!

Another upcoming event for me... is a once in a lifetime experience for me and something that i've always wanted to do. Ladies & Gentlemen, may i present to you.. the ultimate battle between Newcastle United and Manchester United at St James Park on 4th March 2009! Haha we queued in the box office since 8am when the sales only starts at 9am (typically kiasu sgrians). We managed to purchase the tixs at a students' price of only 26 pounds!!! OMG! Its so cheap and i get to finally sit in a real stadium in England and watch the English Premier League LIVE! Not on starhub scv tv, not in kopitiam, not in pubs.. BUT in the STADIUM! Remember to catch me live on ESPN becuz i will be jumping into the field, grabbing the soccer ball and running around naked. Hahaha! I am kinda supporting Man-U but since i'm from Newcastle University, all of us purchased a home jersey of Newcastle United which has a collar and is designed with black & white stripes, jus lyk a prisoner. Haha i will take pics and let you guys see! Obviously, I guess, Newcastle is gonna get thrashed but still, its better not to say anything becuz the fans here are seriously crazee about football! The number of people attending a soccer match is more than the number of ppl attending National Day in Singapore! I'm serious! So its kinda scary especially when they're all so big-size and when they're drunk and angry, its really dangerous. Therefore i can only externally support Newcastle with my jersey and internally support Manchester with my red undies. Hopefully i don't shout out loudly "CRISTIANO RONALDO!" when he scores. Haha. =P

Lastly, I just wanna say that I WILL BE BACK IN LESS THAN 4 MONTHS! Haha! Time really flies and I HOPE THAT I'M WELCOMED BACK AND HAVE PPL MISSING ME! ^^
I love you guys! Take care and be prepared for we will be meeting... real soon. (:

With Love from a Magpie,
Casppppppy.
